This group is dedicated to those drummers (as well as those who have never drummed before) who are ready to dedicate themselves to learning the art of percussion from the Griot Percussionist Medoune Gueye from Senegal, West Africa. We will be having events throughout the year, as well as classes in Djembe, Sabar and Kutiro drumming styles, focused on the healing properties of drumming from the traditional Griot perspective of Griot Percusionist Medoune Gueye (aka Papa Dame Gueye).

This group welcomes all who would like to have fun while learning and playing African drum rhythms on djembe drums and other African instruments. All levels welcome as the style of teaching builds on basic rhythms for the "newbie" while challenging those who are experienced drummers.
